@halfemptystomachHalf Empty Stomach brings bold, inventive fusion Asian cuisine to pop-up events and collaborations. We blend traditional flavors with unexpected twists, creating dishes that surprise and satisfy.
Will was born in Indonesia and moved to Los Angeles as a young adult. He grew up in a home where food was central, an ever-changing table of Indonesian dishes made to be shared, celebrated, and sold. When his family later opened an Indonesian restaurant, he gained an inside view of how the business worked.
He later worked in the kitchen of a sushi restaurant, doing prep work and learning the discipline and rhythm of professional service. As he lived and ate his way across the United States, from New York City and Northern New Jersey to Ann Arbor and Austin, his palate continued to grow and evolve.
Now based in Vila Nova de Gaia, Will shares this accumulated perspective with the Porto region through his pop-up kitchen.
